Rittenhouse Square Block Party 2011 – A Giant Outdoor Café

On Saturday, August 13th, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Rittenhouse Square Block Party 2011 will take place on and around Rittenhouse Square. It is located in southwest Center City, with its boundaries as 18th, 19th, Walnut, and Locust Streets.

Rittenhouse Square Block Party 2011 – We Highly Recommend SEPTA

We would strongly recommend that you take SEPTA to the Rittenhouse Square Block Party 2011, as it offers very convenient service. The best option - just take any inbound SEPTA Regional Rail train to Suburban Station, located at 16th Street and JFK Boulevard. From there, it’s a short walk (a little under half a mile). Just head west from the train station to 18th Street, and make a left turn, and walk down a couple of blocks.

You can also take the SEPTA Blue Line - also known as the Market-Frankford Line, or less formally, as "the el", to its 15th Street Station. From there, you just walk three blocks west to 18th Street, and do the same as above.

Another option - you can take the Broad Street Subway to its Walnut-Locust stop, one stop south of its City Hall Station. From there, head west on Walnut Street for four blocks, and you’ve arrived.
