Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010 – A Popular Tradition

2011 Update - 2011 Thanksgiving Day Parade 8:30 AM to Noon, Thursday, November 24th

The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010 continues a hallowed tradition in the city. It is the 91st Annual Parade – and despite the greater prominence of the Macy’s New York Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade is actually the older of the two, having started in 1920.

How Do I Take SEPTA to the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010?

We would generally recommend SEPTA Regional Rail service, unless you’re coming from a nearby neighborhood, in which case you can take other SEPTA transit lines.

If you’re taking the train into Center City, board an inbound train and disembark at Suburban Station, one of the three major SEPTA Regional Rail hubs. Suburban Station is located at 16th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and provides the easiest access to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the site of the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010.
