The Market and Shops at Comcast Center - Upscale and Convenient

The Market and Shops at Comcast Center are a relatively new addition to the commercial scene, in busy, bustling Suburban Station. But they are a great place to visit – upscale, high quality purveyors, and you don’t even have to go outside.

Taking SEPTA to the Market and Shops at Comcast Center

The best way of taking SEPTA to the Market and Shops at Comcast Center, is to take SEPTA Regional Rail service to Suburban Station, and disembark there.

From there, once you ascend from your train platform, you want to head west within Suburban Station – which is to say, you want to look for signs that read “Comcast Center” with a directional arrow – and if you don’t see any, look for signs directing you to “17th Street” or “18th Street”, rather than “16th Street”, as you want the higher numbers.

The entrance to the Market and Shops at Comcast Center gleam, with well-polished silver. You see the delectable desserts of Termini Bros. Bakery when you walk in, and it’s a great place to grab some cannoli or cheesecake, and the fine cheesemaker, DiBruno’s, is the next vendor beyond it.

Reaching the Comcast Holiday Spectacular Show, Via the Market and Shops at Comcast Center

Best of all, at Christmas time, the Market and Shops at Comcast Center provide – by far – the warmest, fastest, and easiest way to enjoy the Comcast Holiday Spectacular - which takes place in the lobby of the Comcast Center, located at 17th and Arch Streets - you will see signs for the "Winter Garden" on the steps.

In addition, the Comcast Holiday Spectacular, is all new, featuring 3-D for the first time for the Christmas 2010 season, after debuting at Christmas season 2008.

Once you enter the Market and Shops at Comcast Center, you’ll see Termini Bros on your left. Keep going forward, and you’ll notice a very wide staircase on your right. Just go up that staircase – and congratulations, you’re in the lobby of the Comcast Building at 17th and Arch Streets, and you’re right where you need to be for the Comcast Holiday Spectacular.

On a cold December day, the ability to travel to and from the Comcast Holiday Spectacular, without even needing to go outside, is a major plus. It’s also easier to find this way, particularly if you aren’t familiar with Center City.
